In the dashboard and in your inbox

Notifications appear in your dashboard, and important ones are also emailed to the address on your profile. The dashboard list is the full record; email gets the things you would want to know about without logging in.

What is worth being emailed about

Security events on your machines, a computer going offline for a long time, a licence about to expire, a blocked device, and any change to a protection setting.

• A settings change you did not make is worth investigating immediately.
• A machine offline for days is usually a licence or connectivity problem, not a security one.

Making sure email reaches you

Alerts go to the email address on your profile. If you are not receiving them, check that address is current and that your mail is not filing the messages into spam.
